Israeli and Palestinian police cooperated Friday to return a 2-year-old boy to his Israeli Arab mother after her Palestinian partner allegedly abducted the child, Israel Radio reported.

The woman, a resident of Ramle, reported the abduction Thursday night, telling Israeli police that her life partner, who lives in the West Bank city of Tul Karm, had kidnapped her son.

She said the man was not the father of the child.

Palestinian police complied with an Israeli request for help, and arrested the alleged kidnapper in Tul Karm. They then transferred him to Israeli police for questioning.
