While that is his last paragraph, the majority speaks of the conclusion that anti-semitism (and, btw, much of it is devoted to non-Islamic examples - your statement is clearly innacurate) is caused by a need to blame "the other" and also jewish weakness (its a small group).

The majority don't nowadays.
That's why I find his argument of jealousy unlikely.
People can't be jealous of something they aren't even aware of.

Including myself (I'm christian), except for my great love for Israel and Israelis. I just wanted to show that there are christians who care and love Israelis. It's in the Holy Bible and whoever doesen't see it is blind.

Thanks, Gvil. It's important to know that there are more and more Christians out there who actually read the bible and derive something from it that is beneficial rather than destructive for humanity and the Jewish people in particular.

I suppose it's a matter of interpretation. I look at what is said universally, but also I consider the historical context in which something is said.

Romans talks about the grafting of olive branches into the House of Israel. But what does it mean to be grafted into the House of Israel? Very early on in Genesis, Cain slays his brother and then answers God with the famous saying, "Am I my brother's keeper?" Pretty much everything that comes after that answers that particular question in the affirmative. So what does it mean to be your brother's keeper and who exactly is your brother? Is your brother all of humanity (the universalist message)? Just your fellow Christian? Remember that during Jesus' time, there were no "Christians," just his fellow Jews and Gentiles. Jesus' breathern were all Jews, not a Baptist or Catholic in the bunch. So yes, I read those versus as applying both universally, and to the House of Israel in particular. You can't really claim to be grafted into the House of Israel just because you believe that Jesus was the Christ. You must also be your brother's keeper and feel towards the House of Israel as though you were a member of it. That doesn't mean not criticizing your brother when they do wrong, but does mean that you can't be indifferent. That's how I read it.

I'd definitely agree that they apply universally.
Obviously the romans verse was specifically about Jews but I don't think the others apply to Jews any more than anyone else.

You must also be your brother's keeper and feel towards the House of Israel as though you were a member of it. That doesn't mean not criticizing your brother when they do wrong, but does mean that you can't be indifferent. That's how I read it.

I see what you're saying and I think Christians should take an interest in Israel but no more so than other world issues.
