It's not really about Christian anti-semitism.
It comes back to it in the conclusion but most of the examples are of an Islamic origin.
His theory that westerners are anti-semitic because of jealousy that the Jews were chosen by G-d, is undermined by the fact that most westerners in an increasingly secular society probably don't even know or care that the Jews claim to be chosen by G-d.

Outward antisemitism is Moslem. But subtle antisemitism is Christian European. A British friend just sent me this Jewish joke which I find to be ANTISEMITIC and INSENSITIVE:

While that is his last paragraph, the majority speaks of the conclusion that anti-semitism (and, btw, much of it is devoted to non-Islamic examples - your statement is clearly innacurate) is caused by a need to blame "the other" and also jewish weakness (its a small group).Originally Posted by Luke90

The Euros will always find a way to hate the Jews. Anti-Semitism runs deep in their veins. The anti-Semitism and Western European culture are intertwined. They dedicated the most beautiful structures in the world to one Jew. They adore him. When they are born they pray to him. When they are sick they ask him for help. When they are in any kind of emotional distress they ask him for spiritual guidance. Before they die they pray to him. They love one Jew but hate the rest of the Jews and especially the living Jews.Originally Posted by Luke90

That's why I find his argument of jealousy unlikely.
People can't be jealous of something they aren't even aware of.
Including myself (I'm christian), except for my great love for Israel and Israelis. I just wanted to show that there are christians who care and love Israelis. It's in the Holy Bible and whoever doesen't see it is blind.Originally Posted by Toga

I think most probably aren't that interested in Israel, but I don't get the impression that many Christians are anti-semitic. Do you?
Thanks, Gvil. It's important to know that there are more and more Christians out there who actually read the bible and derive something from it that is beneficial rather than destructive for humanity and the Jewish people in particular.Originally Posted by Gvil

Romans 11:17
1 John 3:15
Matt 25:40
Only the romans passage seems especially relevant to Jews.the Jewish people in particular.
They are all fairly standard Christian teachings though. Especially 1 John 3.
I suppose it's a matter of interpretation. I look at what is said universally, but also I consider the historical context in which something is said.Originally Posted by Luke90
Romans talks about the grafting of olive branches into the House of Israel. But what does it mean to be grafted into the House of Israel? Very early on in Genesis, Cain slays his brother and then answers God with the famous saying, "Am I my brother's keeper?" Pretty much everything that comes after that answers that particular question in the affirmative. So what does it mean to be your brother's keeper and who exactly is your brother? Is your brother all of humanity (the universalist message)? Just your fellow Christian? Remember that during Jesus' time, there were no "Christians," just his fellow Jews and Gentiles. Jesus' breathern were all Jews, not a Baptist or Catholic in the bunch. So yes, I read those versus as applying both universally, and to the House of Israel in particular. You can't really claim to be grafted into the House of Israel just because you believe that Jesus was the Christ. You must also be your brother's keeper and feel towards the House of Israel as though you were a member of it. That doesn't mean not criticizing your brother when they do wrong, but does mean that you can't be indifferent. That's how I read it.
I mostly agree with you. That's how I read it.
I'd definitely agree that they apply universally. So yes, I read those versus as applying both universally, and to the House of Israel in particular.
Obviously the romans verse was specifically about Jews but I don't think the others apply to Jews any more than anyone else.
I see what you're saying and I think Christians should take an interest in Israel but no more so than other world issues. You must also be your brother's keeper and feel towards the House of Israel as though you were a member of it. That doesn't mean not criticizing your brother when they do wrong, but does mean that you can't be indifferent. That's how I read it.
I take exception to the claims that librals are all jew haters. I am libral and I also chose to be jewish and I support Israel 100%.
I'm a socialist, (little c) well a social democrat at any rate, with a pinch of anarchism throw in and I'm a zionist.
