It's just a picture. The Hebrew alphabet doesn't have numbers so, so letters are used instead. Aleph, the first letter of the alphabet, represents 1, bet, the second letter, represents 2, and so on. The clock in the picture has hebrew letters that correspond to numbers instead of standard numbers.

OK, my pictures aren’t as nice, but here one of the Negev (from my disposable camera).

We were often invited to go trekking. Is there a particular reason why this activity is so popular with Israelis?

Israel is beautiful because the Israeli's made it beautiful. I doubt it would be nearly as beautiful under Palestinian authority.

I look forward to travelling there late this year/early next.
