    Israel friendly sites

I'm not really sure where to post this, but I just wanted to see some Israel-friendly websites out there on the web. Sometimes I surf the net and its kind of depressing how much anti-Israeli sentiment is out there, I think Israel forum is a great source but I just want to see other websites out there and even forums.

Smile Zionism on the Web - Helping Zionism and Israel get visible on the Web

    Hi,
It seems there are lots of Israel-Friendly Web sites. A big problem is that nobody can see them, because they aren't optimized for key-words like "Zionism" and "Israel" and because they do not link to each other.

The bad news - 7 of the first 10 Web sites retrieved by Google for the keyword "Zionism" are anti-Zionist. (May 1, 2005) Of the first 100, 45 are anti-Zionist. Yet there are literally over a million pro-Israel Web pages. They are hidden behind keywords like "Hasbara" and forgotten somewhere on the Web. You have to dig to find them. Try to find an article in the MFA Web site - it's a challenge.

    That's the bad news.

The Good news The good news is that someone did something about it. Us. The Zionism Guys. And you can do something about it too! We created list of a few pro-Israel or neutral explanations of Zionism and sent it around to everyone we know. We purposely chose sites that are already fairly popular. In a few weeks, we got the top Web site to be the Wikipedia article on Zionism and soon after we got the contents of Us-Israel.org's Zionism page to be number 2, knocking out "True Torah Jews against Zionism" from the number one spot. But we aren't done yet. We created a Web site at
Zionism and Israel on the Web that links to those sites and to others. We are filling it with articles that defend Zionism and Israel's right to exist.

Please copy the links that appear at the bottom of each and every page (almost) of Zionism and Israel on the Web
to your Web site. Let us know that you linked to us by writing to zionistguys@zionismontheweb.org and we will link to at three different Web sites. 3 links for 1!!! Can you beat that? Yes - we can.

The Even Better News If you have a Web site that promotes Zionism on the Web and you have linked to all of the target Web sites as we asked, and if we like your site, we offer to help you optimize your site to get lots more visitors and better search engine rankings for Zionism, Israel and related search words. It won't cost a cent (agora). We can really help you double traffic to your Web site - or more.

    Shalom,
    The Zionism Guys

    1. Who are the guys who run that site? Where do they live, what is their occupation, and do they belong to any political groups? If you look up the leaders of IsraelForum (link at the bottom) you will find this information, but not on your own website. No doubt an oversight, but it needs to be put in order. I know some forums in which the administrators actually identify themselves by their real names, which is important for confidence in the forum.

    2. Who are the forum moderators, and what is the moderating policy. This is essential for the purpose of orderly free speach while avoiding trolls.

I think that you must get both points in order if you want people to register. It is certainly for these reasons that I have not yet registered though, I repeat, the website otherwise seems excellent.

    Who cares who we are?

    Dear Nuttie,
I have explained who we are off list. We hope that soon we will be able to tell everyone, but right now we are just setting up, looking for organizational backing etc.

Who we are - The "Zionism Guys" are two people with considerable experience on the Web who were both horrified by the torrent of anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic Web sites and decided to do something about it. One of us is in the UK, the other in Israel. The rest doesn't matter really.

I am not sure who you are either. Who is "Nuttie?" On Web forums it doesn't matter, except that I would take more time to answer someone who is active in promoting Zionism - because we want to help those people and because we need their help and cooperation.

I don't necessarily agree with everything posted at Israel forums. That doesn't matter. There was a thread about Web sites friendly to Israel and that is our major pre-occupation right now, so I posted the message. You should take the opportunity at our forum to present your views about Zionism and how to present the Zionist case and Israel - no matter who we are or who you are. Suppose you could post a message explaining Zionism at a site like Electronic Intifada, wouldn't it be worthwhile getting to that audience?

We are making a good offer - anyone who links to us will get three (3) links at our Web sites.

Beyond that, we make what I think is an incredible offer. We will help boost the search engine rankings and visitor traffic of any reasonable Zionist Web site. Businesses pay hundreds of dollars for that sort of consultation and expertise. We offer it for free because we want to help fight the crazies and make "Zionism" a respected and loved movement instead of a curse word, as it is today in much of the world. So we are offering a valuable service gratis to just about any Zionist Web site, regardless of whether or not we agree with their politics. All they have to do is link to our 'target' list of Web sites and any others that they think are good sites.

We offer to help you without knowing who you are at all. When we ask for your money or real help then perhaps it will be your turn to ask who are. We are the guys who will help you, that should be enough, no?

    Ami Isseroff

    Hi guys

Just to add to what Ami posted...

I'll say this much about my poletics...

    1) It is irrelevent to this discussion (as Ami says) as the discussion is about Zionism not Israel poletics (or US poletics, or British poletics, or Australian poletics or...) we need to unite, not divide.

    2) I'm involved in organisations ranging from UJS (UK) to representing students on the Board of Deputies of British Jews. I was a youth group leader in an apolitical Zionist Youth group. I attended a Jewish day school that was also Zionist but apolitical in its Zionism.

    3) I am not affiliated to any poltical party in any country

    4) Other than Jewish involvement I am involved in the education establishment generally in the UK at a fairly senior level. Hence my specific concern over education and the impact anti-Zionism is having on campuses and on the streets.

This is not about poletics, it's not about division, it's about bringing people together to defend basic human rights - the rights that some wish to take away form the Jewish people.

You can help by linking, you can help by giving feedback, you can help most by joining us and donating a bit of your time to helping others (an effort we want to help coordinate). What ever you do though, please help.

    Hi,
Indeed, your site is down. If it is just about your favorite football teams then I don't think we could help.
If you have a Zionist Web site or one that is Israel-Friendly, personal or otherwise, we might be able to help you (or anyone who needs hosting). Please go to http://www.zionimontheweb.org and contact us via the email address right on the front page. You would have to have a pretty decent site and probably would need to take whatever domain name we give you. You would also have to link to us and to the Web sites we "target"
We would also help you boost the popularity of your site - if it is suitable.

There are also free hosting deals like netfirms.

New Stuff at Zionism on the Web.

While I am here, I ought to tell about some new pages at Zionism on the Web.

AUT boycott is over, but new boycotts are brewing. We will have more on that shortly. Meanwhile, the wrapup is at
AUT-NAFTHE Academic Boycotts of Israel (suggestions for good names for this page are welcome) and there are some photos and materials about the demonstration that was held on the day of the boycott at:
AUT Boycott Peace Vigil - Multimedia including a sound file with speeches by Lord Janner and others.
    AND
    Some history stuff:
History of Zionism and the Creation of Israel - Expanded
    and
Source documents for history of Zionism and Israel

AND we have a blog -
Ratna's blog on Peace, Zionism, Israel and Palestine

If you want to be on our blog roll - include us at http://www.zionismontheweb.org/blogs/ - "Zionism and Israel on the Web-Blogs or Ratna's blog on Peace, Zionism, Israel and Palestine
    at http://www.zionismontheweb.org/blogs/ratnasblog.html
If you have suggestions for other materials, please write to us via the contact address at the Web site.
    Thanks,
    Ami Isseroff

    Hey Ami!
Well its more of a personal space. I voice my opinions in blogs, anything from personal matters to politics, history, religion etc. I also host pictures on it, and share to show my photography creations. it's a Israeli-friendly website, within my blogs, i've always defended Israel, and have the support Israel logo on it.

Well <g> there are lots of people who have private Web sites and who happen to not be anti-Zionists, but that isn't quite what we meant obviously. There are plenty of free blogs and you can add pictures to them and so on. If you are serious about helping and you want Web space, then please contact us through the address given at the http://www.zionismontheweb.org Web site as noted previously.

    Thanks,

    Ami Isseroff
