North Carolina university exam: "Describe Bush's attack on democracy"

Have a look at this fine example of blatant indoctrination of students.

    THE PRESIDENCY

    FINAL EXAM

Instructions: Write essays on each of the following 4 questions (25 points each). Your answers should be at least one page each, no less. You will be graded on your writing and organizational skills as well as your ability to bring the readings into your discussion. This test is designed to see how well you have thought about the materials we have read and discussed and your ability to discuss these materials after you have reflected on them.

    1. How has the war on terrorism contributed to the powers of the Bush presidency? (Discuss at least 4 ways).

    2. Discuss the sweeping attack on democratic rights under the Bush administration and what this means for the future of democratic government in America.

    3. Whose interests are served by the foreign and domestic policies of the Bush administration?

    4. Describe and discuss the role of the Bush advisors. Who are they? What is their agenda? And how is it being carried out?

    I'm speechless.

You need to take a look at that professor's personal homepage

    http://faculty.ncwc.edu/Jchristensen/

It's the closest thing to functionally insane I've seen in a long time.

Here is Jane Christensen's contact page @ North Carolina Wesleyan College.

Feel free to contact Campus Watch, though I think Dr. C would revel in the attention.

Yes, this was covered on LGF, I'm sure Campus-watch knows of her by now.

Holy ! Is that even legal for a professor to do?

It is legal. But she is not a professor, she's an assistant professor. There is a big difference. However, unless she's a full tenured professor, which she's not, the university can, and in this case, ought to dismiss her for violating ethical standards of academic integrity.

The problem with doing something like that is the simple fact that it doesn't look good for the universities to dismiss instructors. So they'll be doing what they can to protect her. Most likely they'll force her to be easier on the rhetoric, and will wait for the whole issue to fade away.

Just from browsing her site, I thought I had accidentally landed on Cynthia McKinney's.

It made me think she was black, but then again, most of the extreme liberals these days, especially the generic white ones, fight for faux causes usually not their own. So my take is, if she is black, she's not getting booted without the New York Reverends stoopin in. If she's a whitey, then I fee twice as sorry for her.

Cynthia McKinney is nothing. Try Maxine Waters. Google for her web page and check out what she's been up to recently, especially some of her theories about CIA.

    Actually, here's the link: http://www.house.gov/waters/greet.htm

That's nothing. Some of the web links she uses as a source of reference include stuff like Freemasonry Watch

She could be good friends with my favorite minister, Paster David J. Meyer.

You can read his latest here: http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org...March2005.html

And make sure to read about Paster Meyer and his family history: http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org/docs/aboutdjm.html

    Unhappy North Carolina university exam:

Your first clue would be North Carolina WESLEYAN College that is affiliated with the United Methodist Church, which appears to have lost it's identity to the World Council of Churches. Having been a Methodist for decades I can attest to the liberal bent in the clergy and after the divestiture issues I will not set foot in that church. I feel that my church, the Presbyterians, and some Lutherans are being hijacked by antisemitic liberal jihadist! Talk about an attack on democracy, I cannot believe what is happening here.

frontpagemag already on the tail of this deranged biaatch!

    Jihad Jane and the Jews
    By Mike Adams
    FrontPageMagazine.com April 5, 2005

For weeks, I have toyed with the idea of writing a column about Ward Churchill. I just can't seem to muster the energy. Maybe it's because there are so many professors here in North Carolina who are every bit as crazy and incompetent as the now infamous Colorado professor.

For example, there is Jane Christensen who teaches at North Carolina Wesleyan College. One look at her webpage makes me proud to be a Methodist.

It isn't really the picture of Jane holding an M-16 with a black hood over her head that bothers me. I am more bothered by her refusal to return my phone calls so we can discuss the content of her web page and some of her courses. Her webpage links to some interesting articles, which say some interesting things. An example follows:

"America is fighting wars in Afghanistan and Iraq under Zionist control...Jews rule America (and most of the world) by proxy. They trick us into fighting and dying for THEM. Politicians of the 'free world' are too cowardly to oppose Zionism."

Another link presents the theory that Ariel Sharon is preparing to launch attacks in America:

"Israel is embarking upon a more aggressive approach to the war on terror that will include staging targeted killings in the United States and other friendly countries..."

Another link says that Israel is preparing to launch a nuclear attack on Iran:

"a team of U.S. computer specialists flew to Diego Garcia to fit the latest version of the software known as 'over the horizon.' This would allow a Harpoon (equipped with a nuclear warhead) to hit Iran's nuclear establishments with pinpoint accuracy."

The first reader comment on that article is posted under the name "Killing Jews is Good." Nothing more need be said.

Before you conclude that Professor Christensen's site recommends only anti-Semitic readings, note the following:

"The invasion of Iraq in March 2003 by coalition forces has lead to the death of at least 100,000 civilians, reveals the first scientific study...of almost 1000 households scattered across Iraq."

You read that correctly. A scientific study "of almost 1000 households" determined that we killed 100,000 civilians in Iraq before the November election.

Given these "recommended readings," I know most of you will be shocked at the first two questions on Christensen's final exam for a class called "The American Presidency":

"1. How has the war on terrorism contributed to the powers of the Bush presidency? (Discuss at least 4 ways).

    2. Discuss the sweeping attack on democratic rights under the Bush administration and what this means for the future of democratic government in America."

    No leading questions, here!

But, in all fairness, Bush "43" isn't Christensen's only target in class. She tells students to go to Alex Jones' website, www.Infowars.com, (and to use it as an official reference) because "It's one of the best on the web!" This is not just a recommended reading. It is a required reading where students can learn nasty things about Reagan and Bush "41."

For example, the site reports that there were homosexual prostitution rings within the Reagan and Bush White Houses. The prostitutes were little boys sent by Soviet spies to engage in, not just sodomy, but espionage. The site also speaks of "homosexual prostitution and pedophile criminal acts in a suppressed but far-reaching child sex-ring probe closely linked to Senate and House members--but also former President George H. W. Bush."

As you read this site (remembering that "it's one of the best on the web"), the words "911," "they (the Bush administration) knew," "they not only let it happen," and "they made it happen" come flashing across the screen. Remember Orwell's 1984?

In all fairness, the content of the Jones' site isn't always anti-Semitic like many of the other recommended and required readings for Christensen's class. For example, the site blames the Bush family for funding the build-up of the Hitler regime in the 1930s. At least that assertion implies there is something wrong with gassing the Jews. If all this is getting to be too much to believe, just go to the site and search for the article, "How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power."

No food, drinks, gum, or cell phones are tolerated in the class of Jane Christensen (call 252-985-5118 or email jchristensen@ncwc.edu). But slander and anti-Semitism are permitted by a bigot posing as a scholar. That is, when she's not posing as a hooded terrorist with an M-16.

MIKE ADAMS is a criminology professor at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and is a regular columnist for Townhall.com.

Mike S. Adams (www.DrAdams.org) is the author of "Welcome to the IvoryTower of Babel." He will speak at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois on April 13th and Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington on April 14th.

    CLL1709, welcome to IsraelForum,

Yes, it is very distressing to see many good things around the world being hijacked by these sick haters and their halfwit pseudo-liberal followers. I used to believe in universities, and see what happened to them. I suppose that the way I feel about the degredation of the universities is not very different from what you feel about the hijack of your church.
