Question Is this True About Israel?

These were the contents of a thread on a defence forum (www.pakistanidefenceforum.com). So could you tell me whether the following contents are true about Israel?
(The threads on this forum are very anti-indian and anti-israeli)

30 Little Known Facts About Israel

    1. Did you know that non-Jewish Israelis cannot buy or lease land in Israel? A Jew from any country in the world is guaranteed citizenship in Israel, while the Palestinians who have been there for centuries are oppressed and persecuted.

    2. Did you know that instead of sewing an insignia on clothing to distinguish race (like the Germans did to the Jews before WW2), Palestinian license plates in Israel are color coded to distinguish Jews from non-Jews?

    3. Did you know that East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights are all considered by the entire world community, including the United States and the United Nations, to be occupied territory and NOT part of the State of Israel?

    4. Did you know that Israel allots 85% of the water resources for Jews, and the remaining 15% is divided among all Palestinians in the territories? For example in Hebron, 85% of the water is set aside for about 400 Jewish settlers, while the remaining 15% is distributed among Hebron's 120, 000 Palestinians?

    5. Did you know that the United States awards Israel $5 billion in aid each year from American tax dollars?

    6. Did you know that US aid to Israel ($1.8 billion annually in military aid alone) exceeds the aid the US grants to the entire African continent? This aid is used both to buy American weaponry and to buy arms made in Israel.

    7. Did you know that Israel is awaiting an additional $4 billion worth of American military hardware, including new F-16s and Apache and Blackhawk helicopters. As Israel's main ally and supporter internationally, the United States is committed to maintaining the Jewish state's "qualitative edge" in weapons over its neighbours.

    8. Did you know that the U.S. administration has notified Congress on numerous occasions that Israel has violated the rules on how US-supplied weapons are used? (In 1978, 1979 and 1982 during fighting in Lebanon, and once after Israel's bombing of an Iraqi nuclear reactor in 1981.)

    9. Did you know that Israel is the only country in the Middle East that refuses to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and bars international inspections from its sites?

    10. Did you know that high-ranking military officers in the Israeli Defence Forces have admitted publicly that unarmed prisoners of war have been summarily executed by the Israeli forces?

    11. Did you know that Israel blew up an American diplomatic facility in Egypt and attacked a US warship in international waters (the USS Liberty), killing 33 and wounding 177 American sailors and the US did nothing about it? (Imagine if an Islamic country like Iraq did this!)

    12. Did you know that Israel stands in defiance of 69 United Nations Security Council Resolutions?

    13. Did you know that Israel is explicitly dedicated to the policy of maintaining a distinct Jewish character?

    14. Did you know that Israel's current Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, was found by an Israeli court to be "personally and directly responsible" for the Sabra and Shatilla massacre in Lebanon where more than a thousand innocent Palestinian men, women, and children were axed to death or lined up and shot in cold blood?

    15. Did you know that on May 20, 1990, a group of unarmed Palestinian labourers were lined up and murdered by an Israeli solider as they sat waiting for transportation back to Gaza? The terrified labourers who gathered in an area of southern Israel known as Rishon Lezion (known to Palestinians by its Arabic name Oyon Qara) handed their ID cards to the Israeli soldier. The soldiers ordered the distressed labourers to kneel down and face the ground and unexpectedly showered them with a barrage of bullets, killing seven and wounding many others. Needless to say, the soldier was not charged with any crime.

    16. Did you know that until as recently as 1988, Israelis were permitted to run "Jews Only" job ads?

    17. Did you know that the Israeli Foreign Ministry pays six US public relations firms to promote a "positive image" of Israel to the American public?

    18. Did you know that Sharon's coalition government includes a party--Molodet--which advocates ethnic cleansing by openly calling for the forced expulsion of all Palestinians from the occupied territories?

    19. Did you know that recently-declassified documents indicate that David Ben-Gurion approved of the forced expulsion of Arabs from all Palestinian territory in 1948?

    20. Did you know that the former chief rabbi of Israel, Rabbi Ovadia Yossef, who is also a founder and spiritual leader of the religious Shas party (Israel's third largest political party) openly advocates a 'Final Solution' to annihilate the Palestinians? Speaking at the widely broadcast sermon marking the last Passover, he declared of the Palestinians: "The Lord shall return their deeds on their own heads, waste their seed and exterminate them, devastate them and vanish them from this world. It is forbidden to be merciful to them. You must send missiles to them and annihilate them. They are evil and damnable."

    21. Did you know that Palestinian refugees make up the largest portion of the refugee population in the world?

    22. Did you know that Palestinian Christians are considered the "living stones" of Christianity because they are the direct descendants of the disciples of Jesus Christ? And the Palestinian Christians stand united with their Muslim brethren in the struggle against the Israeli occupation.

    23. Did you know that despite a ban on torture by Israel's High Court of Justice, torture has continued unabated by Shin Bet interrogators on Palestinian prisoners?

    24. Did you know that despite every Israeli attempt to disrupt Palestinian education, Palestinians have the highest ratio of PhDs per capita in the world?

    25. Did you know that the right of self-determination is guaranteed to every human being under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [December, 1948], yet Palestinians were/are expected to negotiate for this right under the Oslo Accords?

    26. Did you know that despite what is widely perpetuated and written in the history books that the Arabs attacked Israel in the 1967 war, it was Israel who attacked the Arab countries first, capturing Jerusalem and the West Bank, and called the attack a pre-emptive strike?

    27. Did you know that, as an occupying power, Israel has a particular responsibility under the Geneva Conventions to protect Palestinian civilians?

    28. Did you know that, despite Ariel Sharon's public call for a unilateral ceasefire, Israeli soldiers have not stopped shooting, killing or bulldozing Palestinian homes? The most recent example of this is the murder of three innocent women who were shot by an Israeli tank as they sat in their tent!

    29. Did you know that the Zionists have been trying to destroy Masjid al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock for the last 50 years by digging underground tunnels beneath the sites to weaken its foundation causing it to collapse?

    30. Nelson Mandela called the Israeli government an apartheid regime, just like South Africa used to be.

    and “did you know”.....

....that there are hundreds of variations of these “Little Known Facts about Israel” on hundreds of anti-Israeli / anti-Semitic websites all over the world?

    such as:
    http://www.proislam.com/30_little_kn...about_isra.htm

Did you know that if you consider the source of some of these “Did You Know”s – you’ll find those who essentially hate Israel:

    http://www.alhewar.org/INTIFADAH%20P...d_you_know.htm

and "did you know" that there is not a single country, institution, people or individual on the this planet that is absolutely perfect and has everything all lined-up --- I can easily & always find very despicable and heinous “Little Known Facts” about India or Pakistan or Ohio, on just about anything or anybody I choose and I’d probably make a good living whining about someone else’s short comings.

“Did you know” that I sincerely hope that no one will respond with pointless and massive waste-of-time rebuttals of this essentially (considering the sources of these "Did You Knows") anti-Israel thread?

30 Little Known Facts About Israel
Change the title to "30 most common misconceptions about Israel, and it will sound about right.

    1. Did you know that non-Jewish Israelis cannot buy or lease land in Israel?
. Non-Jewish Israelis have the same rights with regards to land as the Israeli Jews. However, since some 90% of the land is government property (an unfortunate heritage of excessive socialism in our economy during the first few decades of Israel's existence), buying or leasing land is quite a problem for any private owners, both Jews and non-Jews.

A Jew from any country in the world is guaranteed citizenship in Israel
    True.

while the Palestinians who have been there for centuries are oppressed and persecuted.
    False.

    2. Did you know that instead of sewing an insignia on clothing to distinguish race (like the Germans did to the Jews before WW2), Palestinian license plates in Israel are color coded to distinguish Jews from non-Jews?
An interesting distortion. Here's how it works: just like cars registered in, say, US and Mexico differ in their license plates designs, so do Israeli and Palestinian cars- and there's nothing wrong with it, since the territories are not a part of the state of Israel, neither legally nor administratively. However, this only applies to the cars of people who live in the Palestinian territories, outside the Green Line. The cars of the Israeli Arabs have standard yellow license plates, in no way different from those of the Israeli Jews.

    3. Did you know that East Jerusalem, the West Bank, Gaza, and the Golan Heights are all considered by the entire world community, including the United States and the United Nations, to be occupied territory and NOT part of the State of Israel?
True, I suppose, although it is not necesserily legally accurate. The actual status of the West Bank, Gaza and East Jerusalem is that of a no man's land, since the Jordanian claim on them has been officially relinquished and no other lawful souvereignity on them ever existed.

I don't have any reliable source of data to confirm or deny this. I'd love to see where these figures come from.

    5. Did you know that the United States awards Israel $5 billion in aid each year from American tax dollars?
Three billion. And Israel earns back a fair amount in a great number of ways. Whereas Egypt and Jordan, receiving two billion and one billion of US tax dollars respectively, don't earn back squat.

    6. Did you know that US aid to Israel ($1.8 billion annually in military aid alone) exceeds the aid the US grants to the entire African continent?
Again, I've got no source to confirm or deny this.

This aid is used both to buy American weaponry and to buy arms made in Israel.
Pay attention to the emphasis I put here. US aid money is being used to buy US made weapons. In other words, the US aid to Israel is mostly a way for the US to subsidize their own arms industry via a third party- a business deal, rather than some kind of a free gift as it is often presented.

It is a big question who is maintaining whose qualitative edge. US army uses tons of Israeli technology. Again, it is not a free gift from the US or an expression of fanatical support, but a profitable two-way deal.

Let's answer this question with a question: how many Americans do you see complaining about the "misuse" of their technology to destroy Iraq's nuclear reactor? How many of them would want a nuclear Saddam sitting in Baghdad today?
Even if it amounted to "misuse", it was the right thing to do and everybody in the US who is honest to themselves knows it.

    9. Did you know that Israel is the only country in the Middle East that refuses to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and bars international inspections from its sites?
Sure. Others, like Pakistan and Iran, prefer signing the treaty first and violating it when it suits them. At least we aren't being hypocritical about it.

    10. Did you know that high-ranking military officers in the Israeli Defence Forces have admitted publicly that unarmed prisoners of war have been summarily executed by the Israeli forces?
    When?

    11. Did you know that Israel blew up an American diplomatic facility in Egypt
The Lavon affair. Long apologized for and sorted out with the US.

and attacked a US warship in international waters (the USS Liberty), killing 33 and wounding 177 American sailors and the US did nothing about it?
Mistakenly attacked. Again, this one is long sorted out, compensations paid, dozens of investigations held, apologies accepted.

Imagine if an Islamic country like Iraq did this!)
Ohh yes. If, say, Iran was to take American diplomats hostages...oh wait!

Let's try again: if Libya was to blow up an American airliner.... wait a minute!

Ok, another try: if the Palestinians were to take an elderly crippled American tourist hostage and execute him in cold blood.. damn it, not again!

If a bunch of Yemenites was to blow up an American warship...

If the ruler of an African Muslim country like Uganda was to give refuge to a bunch of terrorists who had hijacked an airliner with lots of innocent people, many of them American,

If a bunch of Saudis have killed thousands of Americans by crashing airplanes into skyscrapers in New York...

Damn! Is it possible to come up with a hypothetical Muslim country's attack on Americans that hasn't yet come true???

    12. Did you know that Israel stands in defiance of 69 United Nations Security Council Resolutions?
Yup. The question is, though- why so many resolutions? How come the UN dedicates more of its time to Israel than to the entire Arab League, that is one huge human rights disaster zone? More than to the existential global problems like AIDS and hunger? How come Israel is the only country in the world singled out by the UN Human Rights Commission as a separate agenda item? How come even Kenneth Roth from the Human Rights Watch, who himself is no friend of Israel, had this to say about the UN treatment of our country:

The UN Human Rights commission... has become a sort of abusers' defense society, in which the most thuggish governments join hands and try to protect each other from condemnation by the commission... There's no question that Israel faces extraordinary scrutiny by the Human Rights Commission, and that's part of the same process: Rather than accept scrutiny of Sudan or other serious abusers, it's easier for the abusers' society to collectively defend themselves and simply point the finger at Israel.

Given this background, how can anti-Israeli UN resolutions be seen as a valid reason to criticize Israel?

    13. Did you know that Israel is explicitly dedicated to the policy of maintaining a distinct Jewish character?
Well yes. In the same way as any other state of the planet is dedicated to preserving and maintaining their national character. Tell India to stop being an Indian state, and see how the Indians react to it

An outright lie. Sharon was found indirectly responsible, for not keeping close enough an eye on what exactly the Lebanese Christian Phalangists were going to do in Sabra and Shatilla. Here is a good summary.

This is a classic case of a lie based on truth. The attack did happen- BUT:

1)The soldier was arrested and prosecuted.
    2)The attack was condemned.
3)Rishon Le-Zion cannot possibly be "known to Palestinians by its Arabic name", as it was founded by the Jews in 1882 as a new city and not in place of any previously existing Arab village.

    16. Did you know that until as recently as 1988, Israelis were permitted to run "Jews Only" job ads?
Sure. For jobs like kosher food supervisor, brit-mila maker, the city rabbi...

    17. Did you know that the Israeli Foreign Ministry pays six US public relations firms to promote a "positive image" of Israel to the American public?
Yup- and who doesn't? Is there a country in the world that doesn't engage in PR campaigns to improve their image?

    18. Did you know that Sharon's coalition government includes a party--Molodet--which advocates ethnic cleansing by openly calling for the forced expulsion of all Palestinians from the occupied territories?
Another lie. The Moledet party doesn't even exist anymore, it dissolved itself a couple elections ago. Here is the list of all parties currently in the Knesset, both government and opposition, including even the tiniest one-man parties (usually break-aways from the bigger ones). As you can see, Moledet is not among them. Notice the presence of three Arab parties- Hadash-Ta`al (former Communist party), National Democratic Assembly and the United Arab List.

When Moledet did exist, they were NEVER a part of any ruling coalition, because nobody wanted them and nobody was extreme enough for them. Their representation in the Knesset had never exceeded four mandates at most out of 120 (to compare, the two main parties usually held 40+ mandates

    19. Did you know that recently-declassified documents indicate that David Ben-Gurion approved of the forced expulsion of Arabs from all Palestinian territory in 1948?
Well, I haven't seen any such documents. Show me the source of the claim and the exact text of the documents, and I'll tell you what I think.

Ovadia Yosef is very old and not very sane. He says plenty of outrageous stuff and contradicts himself every two words or so.

Here's what the Israelis really think about him
...Among secular Israelis, Yosef is mainly famous for being the leader of the political party called Shas and for his fierce and sharp rhetoric, often combined with curses and ill-wishes to hated political leaders. Some argue that Yosef's quotes are hate speech.

Reactions to Yosef's "political" quotes have ranged from fury (the extreme Hofesh movement called for Yosef to be tried for incitement) to laughter. Shas spokespeople and Yosef's followers argue that his quotes were taken out of context and that they include technical religious terms (which the average person is not familiar with) and therefore misunderstood. For instance, Yosef is sometimes quoted as saying "The Lord shall return the Murderers' deeds on their own heads, waste their seed and exterminate them, devastate them and vanish them from this world." However, this is a quote from the Jewish scriptures.

And another detail from the same source:

Some of his more famous verdicts are:

It is legitimate and allowed to give territory from the land of Israel in order to achieve true peace.

    Two more details:

Ovadia Yosef's authority is exclusively in the matters of interpreting the religious law. He does not engage in politics, leaving that to professional Shas apparatchiks like Arie Deri and Eli Yishai.

Shas is no longer the third largest party in Israel.

    21. Did you know that Palestinian refugees make up the largest portion of the refugee population in the world?
Of course. But did you know that the reason for it is that the Palestinian refugees are also the only refugee group in history for whom refugee status was made inheritable? Only for the Palestinians the children and the grandchildren of the actual refugees are also counted as refugees, which is where the inflated number comes from.

    22. Did you know that Palestinian Christians are considered the "living stones" of Christianity because they are the direct descendants of the disciples of Jesus Christ?
Any historian and anthropologist would laugh at this claim. Hell, try telling the Palestinian Christians themselves that that are descendants of Jews and not of Arabs- its just about the easiest way to piss them off

And the Palestinian Christians stand united with their Muslim brethren in the struggle against the Israeli occupation.
Is that why they are fleeing in huge numbers from their Muslim bretheren, who persecutes them at will and routinely desecrates their holy sites?

    23. Did you know that despite a ban on torture by Israel's High Court of Justice, torture has continued unabated by Shin Bet interrogators on Palestinian prisoners?
And yet Israel's record concerning torture is the cleanest one in the region.

    24. Did you know that despite every Israeli attempt to disrupt Palestinian education, Palestinians have the highest ratio of PhDs per capita in the world?
False. They have the highest PhD ratio in the Muslim world. The country holding the highest ratio of academic degrees per capita in the world is actually Israel.

Oh and do you know who founded all Palestinian higher education institutions in the territories? That's right, those evil Jews.

    25. Did you know that the right of self-determination is guaranteed to every human being under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [December, 1948], yet Palestinians were/are expected to negotiate for this right under the Oslo Accords?
Not for this right, but negotiate over the process of implementing it.

    26. Did you know that despite what is widely perpetuated and written in the history books that the Arabs attacked Israel in the 1967 war, it was Israel who attacked the Arab countries first, capturing Jerusalem and the West Bank, and called the attack a pre-emptive strike?
Ahh yes, the Arabs just wanted to mind their own peaceful business

On May 17, Nasser demanded that U.N.E.F. (United Nations Emergency Force) evacuate the Sinai, a request with which UN Secretary-General U Thant complied... Egypt ordered United Nations peacekeeping forces to leave the Sinai, and in their place, Egyptian tanks and troops were concentrated on the border with Israel. On May 23, Egypt closed the Straits of Tiran (Israel's main shipping route to Asia and other major places of trade) to Israeli shipping, and also blockaded the Israeli port of Eilat at the northern end of the Gulf of Aqaba. In accordance with international law (United Nations Conference on the Law of the Sea, Geneva: UN Publications 1958, pp. 132–134), Israel considered the closure of the straits to be a casus belli (a sufficient reason for declaring a war).
The few regional forces which might have prevented war quickly crumbled. In spite of the will of Jordan's Hussein, who felt that Nasser's pan-Arabism was threatening his rule, it had numerous supporters in Jordan, and May 30 saw Egypt and Jordan signing a mutual defense treaty, joining the military alliance already in place with Syria. President Nasser, who had called King Hussein an "imperialist lackey" just days earlier, declared: "Our basic objective will be the destruction of Israel. The Arab people want to fight."

Several days later Jordanian forces were given to the command of an Egyptian general. Israel called upon Jordan numerous times to refrain from hostilities.

...Israel watched these developments with alarm, and tried various diplomatic routes to try settling them. The U.S. and U.K. were asked to open the Tiran straits, as they guaranteed they would in 1957. Jordan was asked by the Jewish lobby in the USA through numerous channels, weeks before the war, to refrain from entering the conflict. All Israeli requests for peace were left unanswered, creating a feeling of grave concern for the future of the country. Israelis claimed that the closing the Straits met the international criteria for an act of war

In other words, it was Israel who fired the first shots- but they were in their right, because the actions of the Arabs constituted a declaration of an all-out war on Israel. Any more questions?

    27. Did you know that, as an occupying power, Israel has a particular responsibility under the Geneva Conventions to protect Palestinian civilians?
The Geneva Convention is not applicable to the territories, as their true legal status is not that of an occupied land, but of a disputed one. But Israel still tries its hardest to protect Palestinian civilians.

    LOL!
You see, whenever the Israeli historians want to conduct archaeological research on the Temple Mount (which is an extremely important archaeological site where the Jewish temple was located), the Arabs scream that they are out to destroy the Al-AQsa mosque. At the same time, the Palestinians THEMSELVES are digging under the Al-Aqsa mosque day and night to expand the underground mosque in the King Solomon's stables. This digging is not supervised by engineers and is causing the weakening of the whole of the Temple Mount. A while ago, for instance, it had caused a collapse of a section of the Western wall, the Jewish holy site. So if anyone should be worried about their holy places being destroyed, it is the Jews.

    30. Nelson Mandela called the Israeli government an apartheid regime, just like South Africa used to be.
Nelson Mandela's opinions, like those of any other human being, may or may not be true. In this case, he is as wrong as he possibly can be.

    4. Did you know that
Israel allots 85% of the water resources for Jews, and the remaining 15% is divided among all Palestinians in the territories? For example in Hebron, 85% of the water is set aside for about 400 Jewish settlers, while the remaining 15% is distributed among Hebron's 120, 000 Palestinians?

It’s about 60% given that they have about 60% of the population. Moreover the problem is regional since the Jordan basin support about 10 million on less water than Syria and Lebanon jointly pour into the ocean each year. As Hevron is concerned those 400 live in the town of Hevron so its impossible to separate their water from anyone elses in the same way that you could not turn off the water to your next door neighbor’s house.

    5. Did you know that the
United States awards Israel $5 billion in aid each year from American tax dollars?

It’s about 2.8 billion dollars of which 50% is in the form of low cost or deferred loans. All aid is scheduled to end around 2008 on a declining scale basis.

    6. Did you know that
US aid to Israel ($1.8 billion annually in military aid alone) exceeds the aid the US grants to the entire African continent? This aid is used both to buy American weaponry and to buy arms made in Israel.

Did you know that a) no country gives much in the form of aid to Africa? B) the total armaments aid grant to Egypt is actually larger than that of Israel and correct me if I’m wrong, Egypt is in Africa.

    7. Did you know that
Israel is awaiting an additional $4 billion worth of American military hardware, including new F-16s and Apache and Blackhawk helicopters. As Israel's main ally and supporter internationally, the United States is committed to maintaining the Jewish state's "qualitative edge" in weapons over its neighbours.

It’s roughly half that dollar and its spread out over 10 years. Moreover the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has F-16s so advanced that not even the US has them yet. Additionally the equipment sold to Israel has been specifically modified so that it cannot be retrofitted with Israeli electronics that are far superior to the American gear.

    9. Did you know that
Israel is the only country in the Middle East that refuses to sign the nuclear non-proliferation treaty and bars international inspections from its sites?

What is actually the case is that non signatories to the NPT aren’t required to allow inspectors in. Moreover you should note that more than half the NPT signatories have never ratified the treaty in their own countries so it is not legally binding in those countries. The other 3 NPT non signatories are Cuba, India and Pakistan. North Korea signed and now claims it can ignore it. Iran signed and will broach.

    13. Did you know that
Israel is explicitly dedicated to the policy of maintaining a distinct Jewish character?

France is committed to keeping a French character, Brazil is committed to keeping a Brazilian character, French Canadians speak French, Saudi Arabians outlaw all other religions and creeds, Iran is committed to the Islamic Revolution, The national religion of Algeria is Islam.

    21. Did you know that Palestinian refugees make up the largest portion of the refugee population in the world?

Except of course for all the others. The UN’s own rules are openended on this. They are that anyone who could, without any documentation or proof, claim that they lived anywhere in the place they call “Palestine” at any time during the period 1946-48 would be considered ‘refugees’ for eternity as all of their descendents forever wherever they live and under any circumstances. For example my neighbor who is 3rd generation Palestinian American, solidly middle class and an engineer, is a ‘refugee’. The original body of ‘refugees’ under these openended rules has swelled from 600,000 to include all Palestinians on earth, some 4 million. A majority of Jordan is Palestinian and most Palestinians in the world live in Jordan. Palestinians have their own ‘refugee’ agency unlike any other administered by the UN which sets aside two classes of refugee: Palestinian and everyone else. Two agencies two commands. Moreover ‘refugee camps’ in the West Bank, Jordan. Syria, Lebanon are administered by other Palestinians, they live among Palestinians and have Palestinian neighbors. Some would simply call them bad neighborhoods.

    24. Did you know that despite every Israeli attempt to disrupt Palestinian education, Palestinians have the highest ratio of PhDs per capita in the world?

Yes in such subjects as anti-Semitism, holocaust denial, radical Marxist revolutionary studies and the like. It’s like the situation in Saudi Arabia where the government pays people to go to school to mask unemployment figures. If only their output was anything like the 20,000 PhD in the hard sciences awarded in China each year.

    25. Did you know that the right of self-determination is guaranteed to every human being under the Universal Declaration of Human Rights [December, 1948], yet Palestinians were/are expected to negotiate for this right under the Oslo Accords?

That’s what the accord is, the groundrules for negotiating a final agreement. What is the mystery?

    29. Did you know that the Zionists have been trying to destroy Masjid al-Aqsa and the Dome of the Rock for the last 50 years by digging underground tunnels beneath the sites to weaken its foundation causing it to collapse?

This is a lie. It is the administrative authority of the al Aqsa which routinely commits the following crimes: a) erasing all archeological evidence of Jewish Jerusalem b) undermine the mount with unauthorized and poorly engineered construction and c) prohibits Israeli authorities from making repairs to prevent a collapse of the al Aqsa.

    30. Nelson Mandela called the Israeli government an apartheid regime, just like
    South Africa used to be.

Nelson Mandela also said that armed revolution a-la the Russian revolution was the only way to achieve anything in his own country. And as a leader in the ANC supported gang violence against other black Africans who were not with the ANC.

Did you notice that ALL of the "30 little known Facts" showed a bias against Israel? Did you think that the post that you slopped here was fair and balanced?

Would you like me to post 30 little known derogatory facts about Indians, for your response?

What these Pakis say is so disgusting that it warrants no response. There 1 million Arab Moslems and Christians who have Israeli citizenship and can buy property and own businesses.

The Paki web site should have added .... "do you know that the Sunni Moslem majority in Pakistan regularly slaughter Shiite Moslems in Mosques and Christians in Churches.

Pakistan is one of the most economically backward and primitive countries in the world. This Paki web site explains why.

I wouldn't say that Israel is "just right." "Just" and "Right", yes. But not both together.

The essential Israeli failure came in 1967 and beyond. It was not an unreasonable failure, but nevertheless it was a failure. The failure was that Israel (1) did not have a concensus and plan as to what to do with the territories, and (2) didn't take into account the needs, desires and claims of the people living on the land they (justly) conquered.

Really, there was somewhat of a plan, originally, which was to trade also the WB and Gaza for "peace" - although I doubt E.Jerusalem would have been offered.

So Israel kept the status quo for the Pal Arabs - Jordanian structures intact (a big mistake since the schoolbooks, for example, incited against Israel), hoping for some long term autonomy and maybe a bunch of Arabs leaving on their own free will to be under Arab sovereignty, while building in the WB and Gaza, first for military/defensive and then for political reasons.

So things went as they went ... "we'll cross that bridge when we come to it," and now we've been at several big bridges...

That's the big mistake. Unlike the Arabs, whose mistakes are mostly - lets reject their right to have a state and try to kill them all, but not deal with the consequences of our genocidal aggression.

Okee, not just right, but that was because I'm being confronted with our state-propaganda-news every day. Every day again I hear that the Palestinians are so good. And the Israelis are barbarian murderers! Then you're getting automatically a more radical view on (only) this subject.

You've ever seen communistic television (like in Vietnam)? Well, I have seen it and I can tell you that there is not a big difference with our state-channels. In the morning the start with broadcasting the read aloud of the koran. With subtitlels in Arabic and Turkish. And then they go on with news and everything which is like this: If a Muslim murders a native Dutch (which happens almost every day) then on the news: one person is killed (broadcast time: 10 seconds)
If a Dutch murders a Muslim then they start with that(headline): and we get to hear how a stupid and rasistic people we are. Muslims, they are so peaceful and this should never may happen again. Then an interview with the family of the victim with subtitles (cause many Muslims don't speak Dutch).

Well I'm getting of the point, but can you imagine that this makes me really angry!
When you call the cops they you have a 50/50 chance they are coming!
A broken leg? Waiting times in the hospital of 24 hours are not uncommon!
Ans I can continue with hunderds of examples.

Then I was thinking how it was 650,000 people including women, children and old people managed to drive out every single one of the 750,000 Palestinian arabs, backed up by the armies of 4 countries, in 1948.
