Update: European roundup of Arab terrorists

Today CNN reported that in France an al Qaeda operative, whose name was being withheld for security reasons, was arrested.

The terrorist described as a Franco-Algerian man, was an "important Islamist figure with mid-level responsibilities."

Also today, the Israeli press reported that 2 terrorists were arrested in Sweden, one of whom is a Palestinian. Instead of taking real action, Sweden merely intends to expel the Arab terrorists.

Expel them to where? Another Cyprus resort? Hey, I want to become a terrorist, I need a vacation!

The Swedish press reports that they were suspected of being terrorists and that they are being deported.

Actually Sweden is one country in Europe that appears to be a hot bed for Islamic Fundamentalists. Of course some supposed Swedes would argue against the fact that fundamentalism is very much alive there.

A lot of information regarding their activity is suppressed. Last year a government official gave me **** because I inadvertently released classified information. I wasn?t informed that the information that was given to me was CLASSIFIED. I told the person that I was very sorry but the friendship has cooled.

    Loose lips sink ships!

By the way I have a short memory and I?ve completely forgotten the person?s name.

Sorry they are being held under a law enacted in 1991. The law allows the authorities to hold individuals suspected of terrorism for up to two weeks. Guess my Swedish is getting a bit rusty.

And then what? Send them on a cruise?

Isn't murder a criminal offense in Sweden?

L@mplighter isn’t Swedish elke I just read Swedish. I know the article read that they were suspected of terrorism so they aren’t really guilty of anything at this point Going by past indications I believe that if enough evidence is found they will be charged.

The Swedish immigration minister is a woman with an Arab sounding name and currently she’s squawking about Denmark heading the EU. Denmark has moved to the right and is clamping down on the influx of refugees and I supposed she's concerned about protecting her kind.

There's a great deal of secrecy surrounding the whole issue.
