No but theyre world map doesn't represent anything but american interests, saying the jordan is a more free country than lebanon (or Russia) is insane, you can't take anything else they say seriously

I agree on Jordan vs Lebanon and Russia, but you should still take seriously what they have to say.

I found freedomhouse on a Persian Website were people were praising it for it's harsh criticism of the IRI.

Actually, they may well be right on this. Jordan is very liberal as far as Arab and Muslim states go, and Lebanon may be freer in Beirut, but not in the Hizbullah controlled south. Russia scores very low on political rights and government accountability these days.

Freedom House is a very respectable organization with impressive heritage. I'll take them over the whole bunch of assorted "idiots without borders" NGOs any day.

Well let's see Lebanon just changed a goverment through democratic elections, it has many different papers and TV channels ext, Russian elections also were recognized as fair by all international organisations, while in Jordan the ruller of the country get's the job by being born, not exactly democratic by me.
