Iranians arrest 14 squirrels for spying

excerpt:

[.. Iranian intelligence operatives recently detained over a dozen squirrels found within the nation's borders, claiming the rodents were serving as spies for Western powers determined to undermine the Islamic Republic.

"In recent weeks, intelligence operatives have arrested 14 squirrels within Iran's borders," state-sponsored news agency IRNA reported. "The squirrels were carrying spy gear of foreign agencies, and were stopped before they could act, thanks to the alertness of our intelligence services."

Iranian police commander Esmaeil Ahmadi-Moqadam confirmed the report, saying that a number of squirrels had been caught bearing foreign spy gear within Iran's borders. ..]

C'mon people, we all know that most government agencies are trying to save taxpayer money -- but enlisting squirrels who work for just a few nuts a day is a little ridiculous.

The Iranian islamic dictatorship is claiming stranger things. The rule for having a veil exists cause they claim that female hair radiates something that makes men lustfull.

Let us hope the Iranian squirrels don't become chocoholics like the Finnish one:

"A Finnish squirrel with a sweet tooth heads to a Finnish grocery shop at least twice a day to steal "Kinder Surprise" chocolate-shelled eggs.

"I named it the Kinder-squirrel, after the treats. It always goes after them, other sweets do not seem to interest it as much," the manager of the store in Jyvaskyla, central Finland, said.

The confectionery, which is intended for children, has a toy inside.

"It removes the foil carefully, eats the chocolate and leaves the store with the toy," Irene Lindroos said.

Unfortunately, the bushy-tailed thief does not clean up after itself, but leaves the wrappers behind, she added.

Squirrels have a well deserved reputation for being clever and adaptable animals. Many a home owner has seen the small rodents raiding their supposedly "squirrel-proof" bird feeders."

Very serious, in fact. The news was reported in local newspapers today and via Reuters in the international press.

Squirrels in this area are sometimes very funny. For instance, a few years ago I had a squirrel in my living room, running on top of the bookshelf.

Last minute addition, this is a picture of the squirrel in the shop: http://www.iltalehti.fi/uutiset/2007...22360_uu.shtml

Im not sure, you have no idea the propaganda the islamic regime says.

Back in the 90s the playstation game resident evil was poppular in Iran. So the goverment said that America has developed a virus that makes you into a zombie.

This was to scare children and stupid people.

So quite honestly I dont know if the article is true or not.

If Israel and US don't stop recruiting squirrels, Iran's Islamic leaders could soon order squirrel's meat halal.

There's joke/story about two crows nicking a bar of soap from a Mullah, but they had to take it back for the fear of their meat becoming halal... :-)
